Glover's Reef
Glover's Reef is actually a partially submerged atoll, and a World Heritage Site, about 15 miles from Hopkins, Belize. It represents the outermost part of the barrier reef.
There are several islands in the atoll - most have a resort operating there, and one houses a marine research station. The land is in a ring around a lagoon full of patch coral reefs. Part of this area is a marine reserve.
This is one of the most popular places for scuba diving
trips and certifications. Great snorkeling
can also be found here.
