Anderson's Lagoon is accessible by a narrow cut through the mangroves from Sittee River. It is filled with bio-luminescent plankton in the salt water that glow blue when disturbed.
Viewing is best at night in the dry season, when there is no moon, and it has not recently rained. The season can vary from year to year, but generally the bioluminescence is visible (and tours run) from February through May.
