The Belize Zoo is very unique in the world. The entire zoo is natural Belize habitat, and all of the animals are rescues that are native to Belize. The zoo works to rehabilitate and release the animals back into the wild, but those that cannot be released always have a home at the zoo.
When heading to Hopkins from the International airport you will pass the Zoo. You may be able to take in the Zoo on the way to or from the airport.
The entrance fee at the zoo is $15 USD for adults and $5 USD for children. Animal encounters and a VIP Tour are available for an additional fee.
